ScholarVets is currently developing an Employer toolkit, enabling veteran students within our participating partner schools to interact with America’s top veteran hiring employers.
We plan to only work with the best employers that demonstrate a commitment to hiring veterans. Amazon.com is our first partner employer. Amazon has an initiative to hire over 300 veterans this fall and ScholarVets is here to help them find the best veteran talent for their needs. Our plan is to add 24 more employers to our network by the end of 2016. We are in talks with Starbucks, GEICO, Chesapeake Energy, and Google. We plan to also invite the following companies to join our free recruiting network: Intel, Godaddy, Microsoft, Apple, Johnson and Johnson, Tesla, Devon Energy, Booz Allen Hamilton, KPMG, Uber, Deloitte, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Rosetta Stone, and Verizon.
It is 100% free for employers to participate. Invited employers must demonstrate a proven track record for hiring and growing their veteran employees. Partner employers are able to create a company profile page, post jobs, receive applicants, obtain followers, view veteran’s resumes, and search our veteran student database based on college degree and estimated graduation date. Admins from each partner school control the level of communication employers have within their veteran and Military student body.
If your company has not been invited and wishes to participate, then you must contact us and explain why you feel your company is one of the best companies for hiring veterans. We will then contact you for a phone interview to ask a series of questions to determine if we feel your company would be a good fit for our veteran college student members.
